Letter from the President
|
When I first heard it on the radio, my ears couldn't take it in, so they removed some zeroes. The Big Bailout, my ears told me, was $700,000,000. "Wow," I thought, "that's a lot of debt to take on." Then, ten minutes later, the story was repeated. And the zeroes made their way through my cortex. $700,000,000,000!!! That's more than even Bill Gates has in the bank. Click here to read more.

Mission Grants update
This past month we were able to send $5,000 to Lutheran
Blind Mission. This grant was approved
at the 2006-2008 biennium, but they were not able to implement opening a new
outreach center in NYC before the end of the biennium. Redeemer
Lutheran Church,
Bayside has agreed to open an LBM outreach center. We rejoice that we are able to partner with
this ministry.
We continue to work on funding Mission Grant #6, Seminary
Tuition - $5,000. We need approximately
$4,000 to fund this grant.
Please continue to send mite money to Virginia Wirsing, Financial
Secretary, 4 Garden Lane,
Yaphank, NY 11980.
