This webinar will cover:
- Developing a measurement system that aligns with acknowledgement of death through either final decision by the Authorizing person, or time limits for recovery of tissue.
- Using Best Practices that provide authorizing persons with the best environment possible for making decisions concerning donation, not only focusing on the "Yes" answer.
- Using Analysis of Data to make conclusions regarding Process Optimization.
- Provide recommendations to authorization personnel to improve processes for donor families and healthcare stakeholders.

Speakers:
Donna Bishop, LifeNet Health
As the Director for LifeNet Health's 24/7 donation-based Communication Center, Ms. Bishop provides the leadership and vision for a department of 30+ donation professionals. Ms. Bishop develops, implements and maintains effective processes for the medical and behavioral history evaluation of potential tissue and eye donors, as well as for obtaining legal authorization for donation and conducting detailed donor history interviews. She has presented at numerous national conferences and webinars for AATB, AOPO and AABB.
Matthew Kurtzbein, Communication Specialist Manager, LifeSource
Mr. Kurtzbein is the Communication Specialist Manager at LifeSource in St. Paul, Minnesota. As such, he provides support to the staff that approach authorizing persons on a daily basis. Mr. Kurtzbein is responsible for monitoring data and reflecting authorization rates for LifeSource. Prior to working at LifeSource, he worked as a Communication Specialist for 4 years approaching numerous donor families about the gift of donation.
