AATB to Recognize Members with Communications, Advertising & Marketing (CAM) Awards; Entry Deadline July 20th

AATB is now accepting entries for the 2012 Communications, Advertising & Marketing (CAM) Awards. This is a program designed to share ideas and best practices and to recognize innovative and creative communication, advertising and marketing tools developed by the AATB membership.

The Award winners in each CAM division will have the opportunity to present their winning program or tool to their peers at the AATB 2012 Annual Meeting being held September 8 -12 in Keystone, CO. In addition, one representative for each division winner will receive a complimentary meeting registration. The entries deemed finalists will also be invited to display their programs and tools on a 4'x8' poster at the Annual Meeting.

Public and Professional Communications
Entries in this division focus on projects or campaigns designed to make an impact on a situation, create awareness, or lead an audience to action. The primary focus of the judging will be to evaluate the "results" of the campaign or project (i.e., was the situation impacted, was awareness created, and did the audience take action?).

Advertising and Marketing
Entries in this division will focus on printed or electronic tools designed to market or advertise a product, service or program. The primary focus of the judging will be based on the creativity and focus of the "concept" (i.e., is the concept strong and fresh, is the tool original and innovative, or is the technique or application innovative, etc.?).

People's Choice Award
During last year's inaugural CAM Awards program, the AATB Public and Professional Relations (PPR) Committee had the opportunity to review an impressive pool of entries associated with communications programs and marketing and advertising concepts, selecting two overall division winners and two budget winners. Last year's People's Choice Award received an overwhelming response, and we will again encourage the AATB community to vote on the People's Choice Award from among several finalists, determined by the PPR Committee's judging panel.

The AATB Membership will have an opportunity to review the best practice entries on display and cast their vote during the meeting for the program or tool they believe should receive the AATB People's Choice Award. Members and non-members alike will have the opportunity to vote for a winner online for a period of time following the Annual Meeting. The entry selected as the winner will be announced following the meeting and will be invited to receive their award at the AATB 2013 Annual Meeting.

Entries for the CAM Awards can be submitted online and will be accepted until July 20, 2012 at 5:00 PM ET. To view criteria for the Communications, Advertising & Marketing (CAM) Awards, click here.

The American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) -- a professional, non-profit, scientific and educational organization -- is the only national tissue banking organization in the United States. Founded in 1976, the AATB is dedicated to improving and saving lives by promoting and advancing the safety, quality and availability of donated human tissue. To fullfill that mission, the AATB publishes standards and accredits tissue banks, certifies personnel and operates a tissue network.
