Discounts on Prescription Drugs
Baby & Doc
United Way of Southwest Wyoming has partnered with familyWize to offer reduced prices on prescription drugs.
This is a free program, anyone can use it. There is no application or waiting for a card to come in the mail. Local pharmacies and agencies have the discount card available. Contact United Way for a full list of participating pharmacies.
Present the discount card and prescription to a participating pharmacy to receive a discount of either 35%, $20, or the pharmacy's retail price, whichever is lower. It covers all medicine not covered by insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or other benefit plans, and covers everyone with no health insurance or prescription coverage.
For more information on this program, how to get a card, or to be a distributor, please contact Kathy Tacke at (307) 362-5003.

What Can You Give?
Group
The annual Workplace Personal Goods Drive has begun.
This year's Sweetwater County Leadership Institute chose this United Way program as their community project, and included a military assistance drive.
Many men, women, and children in Sweetwater County are in need of personal goods such as toiletries and hygiene products. Donated items are distributed to local agencies (i.e. YWCA Support and Safe House, Food Bank, etc).
Injured soldiers in Afghanistan are taken to the medic and their uniforms and undergarments are immediately cut off of them. The military replaces the uniforms, but not the undergarments. Donated items will be mailed overseas.
A full list of needed items may be available at your workplace. Look for the blue bins. Please make your donation by May 30, 2008.
Individual donations can be made at the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce, Green River Chamber of Commerce and at Sweetwater County Libraries.  Sponsored by Church & Dwight.
