In the next 50th Anniversary Event on Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m., three esteemed LSTC Emeritus Faculty Members will tell us what seminary life was like at the newly-formed Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Dr. Kadi Billman will moderate the lunchtime forum in Room 350. Free soup and bread will be served. Read more.

Alumni, we need your stories

At the recent Alumni Board meeting, Pastor George Detweiler told us stories from his years at LSTC: "Our approach was to do things and apologize later. That's how  Frank Showers and I moved chairs into the room underneath the Chapel Auditorium to create a worship space." That space was used for daily worship until the Chapel Auditorium was demolished to make way for the Augustana Chapel.

Students have always shaped and reshaped life at LSTC - what did you do at LSTC? How did you change this seminary? Send your stories to jboden@lstc.edu or share them on LSTC's Facebook page.

What is the Annual Fund? It covers all the day-to-day expenses related to running a school. Is it sexy? Not terribly. Is it essential? Absolutely! It helps make up the difference between the cost of seminary education and what students pay in tuition.
