NCRI Cancer Conference Newsletter
March 2012

Dear ,

Welcome to the first newsletter from the 2012 NCRI Cancer Conference!

Abstract submission for the 2012 NCRI Cancer Conference opens on Monday 2 April. Please forward this email to colleagues who may also be interested.

All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters and will be citable and available online, in a searchable format, from early October. Selected abstracts have the opportunity to be presented orally within standalone proffered paper sessions.

There are also six categories of prizes for abstracts, which you can choose to be considered for when submitting your abstract.

Abstract submission closes on Tuesday 5 June 2012. If you are finalising data which will be ready only after this date, late-breaking abstract submission will open from 1-28 August. However, the possibility of being selected for oral presentation is much reduced at this stage and no prizes are available.

Planning for the 2012 NCRI Cancer Conference is well underway. We are pleased to be able to give you a preview of the forthcoming programme in this edition of the NCRI Cancer Conference newsletter.

We are bringing you an exceptional programme

packed with high-quality presentations from the very best international and British speakers. Presentations will span the full spectrum of cancer research, from basic and translational science through to survivorship and prevention. Extended poster sessions and new abstract prizes are available this year so we hope to receive outstanding abstracts to be presented in Liverpool.

This year the programme for Tuesday 6 November has been developed in collaboration with the Royal College of Radiologists. There are sessions throughout the day intended to appeal to clinical oncologists in particular, including dedicated oral and poster sessions (for which a number of RCR Ross Prizesare available) and an RCR training session.

I look forward to seeing you in Liverpool.
