Greetings!

Our September ENEWS is coming to you in two parts. Yesterday you read our tribute to the Rev. Ben Sheldon--longtime PPL board member and President Emeritus who died earlier this week. And, we also introduced the joyous news of my grandson Joel's birth.
 
Today's email is to inform you that PPL is facing some significant changes. We will tell you more about that after our October board meeting, but for now, don't miss our great BOOK SALE! It's a great opportunity to add good books on life issues to your library!
 
PPL is having a HUGE Book Sale!

PPL is moving to a much smaller office space. We have an impressive library of books on Crisis Pregnancy, Abortion, Adoption, Euthanasia & End of LIfe, Bioethics, Sexuality, and Marriage & Family. We can only take a FEW of these books with us.

 

This is a great opportunity to build your church or personal library with books by some of the best authors on topics related to the value and dignity of human life! Download a flyer here and a list of books by author, by title or by topic. All books are FREE but we do ask that you donate enough to cover postage (we suggest $5 for paperbacks and $10 for hardback).

Limited supply: To reserve your book(s) send us an email today with your name, full address, title and author and number of copies desired. You may make a donation online to cover postage or send a check after you receive your book(s).

 

Office furniture & equipment sale too!
PPL has several desks, file cabinets, computers, printers, and shelving units that are also available for your donation. All items must be picked up by October 15.

Other items include an apartment sized refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker! Come by our office at the corner of Harts Run Road and Middle Road in Allison Park, PA (entrance at the back of the building) and see if we have something you need. We are open 9-5 on September 24-26 and October 1-6. Call 412-487-1990 for more information. 

 
As you read this email, you can well imagine that managing all this transition is not easy. Please pray for the PPL staff in the coming weeks and for the Board of Directors meeting Oct 11-13. We have many important decisions to make to ensure that the ministry of PPL remains strong and healthy and that our vital voice for the unborn and our work of equipping the Presbyterian and Reformed family of churches will go forward for many years to come. 

I do not believe God is finished with PPL. New individuals have joined our work, ideas are flowing and precious lives are still being lost to abortion. There is no other group providing life affirming theologically grounded resources and training for Reformed and Presbyterian congregations! 

We need your prayers and your strong financial support. We are making hard decisions and setting aside everything nonessential. Our painful choices have included adjustments to our staffing and those individuals need your prayers. Please stand with us for the dignity and value of every human life.
