U8-U11 tryouts begin this Sunday; Be sure to preregister online
Player tryouts for Diablo FC Under 8 thru Under 11 teams for the 2011 season begin this Sunday. Boys and girls tryouts for these age groups are on Sundays, Jan. 23 and 30, at Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord and Thursday, Jan. 27, at Willow Pass Park in Concord
Sundays, Jan. 23 & 30, tryout schedule at Ygnacio Valley HS on the turf field:
U8-U10 Girls 9 - 10:30 a.m.
U8-U10 Boys 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon
U11 Girls & Boys 12 noon - 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, Jan 27, tryout schedule at Willow Pass Park #5 in Concord:
U8-U11 Girls & Boys 6-7:30 p.m.
Tryouts for U12-U14 players will be held on Feb. 20, 24 and 27 in Concord.
The U15-U19 tryouts will be held in April
Every girl and boy interested in trying out INCLUDING CURRENT DIABLO FC PLAYERS must pre-register online or arrive early and fill out the tryout form, which must be signed by a parent before tryouts.  
There is no charge to try out and tryouts will be held rain or shine.
We suggest you call as close to the tryout time as possible to get the most up-to-date field information.

Diablo FC board elections, AGM on Jan. 31

The Diablo FC Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday evening, Jan. 31, 7:30 p.m. at the Contra Costa Water District Building, 1331 Concord Ave. in Concord.The Board of Directors will give a report on the club's activities in 2010 and a look ahead to 2011. All Diablo FC members are invited to attend.
The election of 4 Board members will conclude the meeting. Each team in the club has one vote so we encourage at least one representative from each team to attend. Read about the new board candidates.
Crab Feed tickets on sale for Feb. 11 dinner, dance, auction 
Contact your team Crab Feed rep, Deby Vaughn or Kurt Ecklin to get tickets now for the 8th annual Diablo FC Crab Feed on Friday, Feb. 11, at Centre Concord. A delicious crab dinner with salad, pasta and dessert, live and silent auction, raffle and dance are all on tap for this outstanding evening that is not only lots of fun but also is one of two major fund-raising events put on by the club each year.
Crab Feed proceeds go to the Diablo FC scholarship program which helps families in need of assistance for their children to take part in Diablo FC. Social hour is at 6 p.m. and dinner is served at 7 o'clock.
