We hope all the players in Diablo FC and their families have a enjoyable spring break.
Our younger teams are just gearing up for the new season while the older players have tryouts starting the week after spring break. Many older club teams are still in the midst of CYSA State Cup which runs throughout the month of April with finals May 1-2. 
Keep Christopher Punty & family FC in your thoughts and prayers
During this holy season for so many faiths, we ask that you take a moment to say a prayer for Diablo FC player Christopher Punty and his family. Chris is a sophomore at Clayton Valley High School and a player for coach Lewis Woodward on the U16 Diablo FC 93 Blue team.
Friday, Chris had surgery at Children's Hospital in Oakland and faces more tests over the weekend. He will begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment early next week for Hodgkin lymphoma. Chris' mom Christine and dad Mike welcome your messages, "We ask everyone and anyone to please keep praying hard and often for him. Christopher reads all emails sent and goes onto Facebook when he can."

U15-U19 tryouts begin after spring break April 13-15
Player tryouts for Diablo FC Under 15 thru Under 19 teams for the 2010-2011 season begin right after spring break for boys on Tuesdays, April 13 & 20, and for girls on Thursdays, April 15 & 22, in Concord at Boatwright Sports Complex. Tryouts for all age groups conclude on Sunday, April 25, at Ygnacio Valley High School.
There is no charge to try out and tryouts will be held rain or shine.
See complete tryout schedule with specific times and age matrix to determine which age group your child will be in next season.
Every girl and boy interested in trying out must pre-register online.

To check up on field conditions we have setup a 24-hour hotline dedicated solely to Diablo FC. Please now call (925) 779-2102 for updates on field conditions. The city of Concord operates its own weather line but our club also uses school sites and Boatwright Sports Complex which aren't covered on the city line. We recommend you only call this new number, which will be updated as needed for all field closures and openings as they relate to Diablo FC training, games, tournaments and tryouts.
