Save High School Sports at Fun Run/Walk this Sunday
Diablo FC sponsors critical fund raiser at Newhall Park 
The United Mt. Diablo Athletic Foundation was formed this year to generateSave our Sports logo support for the high school athletic programs in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District at Clayton Valley, College Park, Concord, Mt. Diablo, Northgate and Ygnacio Valley high schools. The biggest UMDAF fund raiser to date is scheduled this Sunday, Oct. 18, 9 a.m. and Diablo FC is very proud to be the sponsor of the 5K Fun Run and Walk at Newhall Community Park in Concord.
Hundreds of our club players take part in high school soccer and we feel strongly that as good community citizens we need to help them realize all of the benefits playing high school sports contribute to their high school experience. 
Get all the information about entering the Fun Run or Walk and being a sponsor. Students who get at least $25 in pledges pay no entry fee!
Huge "Thank You" to Benefit Golf Tournament participants
Golfers, BBQ attendees all report having great time
Our annual Diablo FC Benefit Golf Tournament was a rousing success last Friday at Diablo Creek Golf Course. 
Chairman Gene Dolan and his tournament committee thank all the Diablo FC teams who stepped up to sell out the tournament.
Next week we'll have a photo gallery on our website with highlights from the tournament and BBQ.
We're grateful that once again the families of Diablo FC showed their dedication to the children by supporting the club in a big way to make our annual tournament such a success, even in these challenging economic times. 
Remember to check field conditions and drive carefully
With the big, brief storm this week Mother Nature signaled a change in the seasons. Please keep in mind that we're guests on all the fields we use and we need to be considerate of the long-term condition of each venue. In order to make sure fields are not used when conditions warrant them being closed, we update the weather line daily. We share this line with the MDSA AYSO program. You can call (925) 672-3373 and then press 3 at any time to get an update on field status.
There will be times that some fields are closed and others are open so please listen carefully to the entire message. There may be days following a period of bad weather when you will need to check the message in the afternoon as fields may be opened later in a day once staff has determined they are playable.
We also have had numerous reports of people driving too fast near the playfields. Please be aware that there are many young children taking part in our games and training as well as younger siblings of our players at the parks. We want everyone to drive near the fields as you would near a school before or after school when many children are in the vicinity.

We invite players, parents, family members young and old, coaches and friends to sign up and join over 170 others who have already signed up. You can post pictures and comments, connect with friends and find out more about our club.
Families and alumni from our two former clubs, DVSC and MDSL, are also signing up.
