Greetings!

The news of your alma mater's name change was received by 60 years of graduates of Villa Julie College with excitement, curiosity and in some cases, sadness. For those expressing excitement, the future of Stevenson University looks bright and is built on the foundation of the exceptional success of Villa Julie. For those expressing curiosity, the alumni comments and questions focus on new diplomas, transcripts, resume notations and even class rings. And for those expressing sadness, their sentiments are centered on the supportive belief that this change is being made to celebrate 60 years of success and secure the future of their school. The entire community is pleased to know that the College's name will proudly continue as the Villa Julie College of Arts and Sciences.

We appreciate and respect how you feel about this change. We hope you are confident and proud in knowing that Stevenson University will retain the close-knit environment and the excellent career-focused education that you knew as students and appreciate as alumni. We invite you to see this for yourself and join us on campus soon.

Yours truly,
 Jane Hogge

summer

We want you to have a safe and healthy summer.  Here are a few standard tips to guide you:

Drink plenty of water; your body needs it to prevent dehydration during warm summer days.

If you have asthma or other respiratory problems, watch the air quality report for the day.

Wear appropriate shoes for your outdoor activities. If you're doing a lot of walking or other sports activities, skip those stylish summer sandals.

Take cover. Sunburn is painful and unhealthy. Use a good sunscreen, and re-apply it frequently.

Wear light, loose-fitting clothing.

Don't forget sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun's UV rays.

Maintain your energy level by limiting your intake of fat and sugar; focus on carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables.

Consume alcohol in moderation, and don't drink at all near the time that you may be driving.
