Cheers!

Wine Tasting
With nearly 150 attendees, Villa Julie College's Wine Tasting was an overwhelming success.  More than 60 wines were available to taste along with a wonderful array of delicious foods.Wine Tasting  Throughout the evening, our guests enjoyed music performed by Chip Burkey and Greg Larry of the band Full Circle.  The Wine Tasting was one of the events Villa Julie has held this year to celebrate the College's 60th Anniversary.  If you enjoyed the Wine Tasting, you won't want to miss out on Maryland, My Maryland on March 29th.

Listening is an Act of Love
edited by David Isay

Storycorps is a project sponsored by National Public Radio that aims to preserve "the stories of every day Americans." These short vignettes are grouped by broad subjects, including Home and Family, Journeys, History and Struggle.  I found this book to be chock full of both humor and heart, as well as a way to learn a little history through the lives of the storytellers.

Wellness Tip
From the VJC Wellness Center

chocolate
February 14th is Valentine's Day.  Do your valentine a favor and give him or her a chocolate gift with health benefits, too!  Research has shown DARK chocolate may lower blood pressure, decrease LDL (bad) cholesterol, reduce the risk of blood clots, and improve mood, pleasure, and sleep.  A sweet that is good for your heart, too... your sweetie will thank you!
