Greetings!
Hello, my name is Ray Tedderand I am the current chairman of the IIANC Young Agents Committee.  Welcome to the first edition of our newsletter designed just for Young Agents in North Carolina!

The Young Agents Committee is a highly motivated, dynamic group of young insurance professionals with representation from every IIANC IIANC district throughout North Carolina.  At the 2007 national IIABA conference, the committee became the proud two-time and back-to back recipient of the IIABA National Young Agents Committee of the Year awardWe are working hard to provide you with resources, programs and events that will help you advance in your careeras well as to recruit newyoung people to our industry.

We hope you will find this quarterly newsletter beneficial as it will highlight the opportunities and events where you can get involved with other Young Agents throughout the state. Our goal is to improve communication with the 1,400+ Young Agents in North Carolina and encourage each person to get involved with association and Young Agent activities and projects in any way possible.

As we embark upon another exciting year, we look forward to completing our two big projects in 2008: 1) The complete (ground-up) construction of a Habitat for Humanity Home in Wake County; and 2) Assist IIANC by providing volunteers for the transportation of players and their families during the IIABA National Junior Golf Tournament which will be held in Pinehurst, NC in August of 2008.  We are actively seeking volunteers for each of these projects now and welcome your interest, questions and participation.

Thank you for your timeand we look forward to your continued support and participation with us in the coming year.  On behalf of the entire NC Young Agents Committee, we welcome your questions.  You can find contact information for all members of the NC Young Agents Committee at www.iianc.com - just click on the Young Agents link.  You will also find info on projects events just for Young Agents on our webpageWe look forward to seeing you soon!

How YOU Can Help...

Habitat Wake County

"To promote good community relations" and "to instill ethical behavior" are just some of the values included in the Young Agents' mission statement. Last year, we decided to team up with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County to carry out this mission for the betterment of the community and provide a home for a deserving family. Our plan was to raise $70,000 and build the home in 2008.

We Reached Our Goal!!
Thanks to the generous donations from agents and company partners, we were able to raise $70,000 by the end of 2007. Stay tuned on how you can help with construction of the house this year!
