New credential for CPAs available
CPAs in business and industry can apply for the new Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credential now until Jan. 1, 2015. The AICPA and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) both issue the CGMA credential, which signifies the expertise of management accountants.

IRS news for tax professionals
The Internal Revenue Service March news for tax professionals includes resources about the Revised Payroll Tax Form, tax exempt organizations, Earned Income Tax Credit and a free March 28 broadcast, "S Corporations: Stock basis of the shareholders."

Volunteer in Reading Makes Cents
Participate in Reading Makes Cents throughout April. Visit the classroom of your son, daughter, niece, nephew, or neighbor and read to students about the basics of money during Financial Literacy Month. WICPA members will receive handouts to bring to class.
