Women in Christian Media
Are Pulling Together
Just 20 years ago, churches were
regularly inviting music and speaking guests for Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings,
and for Wednesday nights as well. Does
anyone remember?
There were more possibilities for getting a book publishing deal and
regional Christian television was thriving. In Northern California
alone, there were at least three Christian television stations. Independent Christian radio stations offered independent
musicians more chances for airplay and radio interviews. For the most part, Christian writers,
speakers, musicians, and broadcast professionals, found more demand for their
work. Being in ministry for 23 years, I've witnessed the effects of a changing culture on Christian media.
If you're a woman who is actively sharing the gospel through speaking,
writing, singing, radio, or television, please
hear my heart. We need each other.
In addition to Carole Brewer Ministries, God has called me, with the help of an incredible Task Force, to serve the West Coast Connection for Women in Christian Media. Just one year old, our enthusiastic "connection" gathers for five events per year; four elegant banquets in Southern California and the annual National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville.
For media professionals in the Southwest and Southeast, Women in
Christian Media has well- established connections in Dallas
and Nashville. For the Midwest, our new Chicago Connection has started.
Why are these connections so important? Because, women serving our Lord in Christian media have
a unique set of circumstances that only others in the same field can relate
to. With
much opposition from our culture and the current economic crisis, we need more
than ever to pray and pull together.
As the new Regional Director for the West Coast Connection, it's my honor to invite you to learn more about our vibrant organization under the leadership of Founder and President, Suellen Roberts.

The West Coast Connection banquets will be held at Center Club in Costa Mesa, California; located in the heart of Orange County adjacent to the Orange County Performing Arts Center and just a block from great shopping at beautiful South Coast Plaza.
On September 24th, we will be blessed by two exceptional women; author/speaker Danna Demetre and singer/speaker Renee Bondi. Enjoy a delicious dinner with elegant surroundings but
most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to fellowship, pray, and network. We want to bless you and give you the love
and support you deserve, in the name of our precious Lord.
Let's build an army of women who stand strong and uphold each
other. Whether media professional or not, we can all find great blessings as we joyfully and steadfastly proclaim the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
