Greetings!
I don't know about your part of the world, but here in central Ohio, the sun is starting to shine and Easter is right around the corner. As a time of rebirth, I realize that I am grateful for so many of God's blessings in this world. And I am thankful for your support, encouragement and prayers!

Fund raising this year has been slow going, but our efforts are not in vain. What little we've raised through individual giving and our recent Family Fun Night puts us in a good position for our first quarter donations to the four orphanages we support.

For those of you new to our newsletter or to Orphan World Relief, we currently support four orphanages in four countries: India, Ukraine, Russia and Bolivia. Our desire is to enhance our ability to support orphanages in 2010 by raising $10,000 by the end of April. We're a little over 1/10th of the way there.

Team Up 4 Orphans!
Do you like to run or walk and live in Central Ohio?

This year, Team Up 4 Orphans will form a team to run or walk in the Capital City Half Marathon in Columbus, Ohio, to raise money to benefit the projects and programs of Doma International and Orphan World Relief. Walkers and runners of all skill levels and ages are invited to join the team.

As a part of the Team Up 4 Orphans team, you commit to a minimum fundraising goal of $500, but shoot for raising $2,500, which will include:

  • Registration for the Capital City Half Marathon

  • Training program - and ongoing support - tailored to your individual goals with Lisa Rainsberger, winner of the 1985 Boston Marathon and world class running coach!

  • Mentor to help you meet your fundraising goals
    Personal fundraising website for each team member
  • Fundraising workships, strategies, and materials
  • Team activities throughout the training
  • Team dinner the night before the race
  • Team Up 4 Orphans sportswear for race day

It's a Girl! And a Girl! And a Girl!!
The triplets have arrived at Casa de Amor in Cochabamba, Bolivia! They recently welcomed Valentina, Victoria and Nataly to their home.

Currently, Casa de Amor has 39 children ages 3 weeks to 7 years under their care.

Care for children is a round-the-clock effort. With your help, these triplets and others can get the care they need to grow into healthy, productive men and women.
