Greetings! 

Do you believe we are already on the downside of summer? Have you noticed all of the Halloween merchandise in the stores already? And Halloween and still three months away...

I am one who does not let go of summer easily. I guess that is why I love to go to the Outer Banks for vacation in October- this extends the summer! There is nothing better than the beach in the Fall.

More amazing things that happen in the Fall include:

  Kids going back to school (probably not soon enough!)

  • Fabulous weather
  • Recycling events start up again soon, so check your township and county web sites
  • Shredding companies start their events
  • Medication Take Back Day is September 29, check this website at the beginning of September
  • This spring there were a lot of electronic recycling events, so hopefully we will have more of those

Enjoy these last weeks of Summer!

Your Photos: 
Precious Memories to Organize, Preserve, Display and Share!

How many boxes of photos do you have stashed away? How many photos are on your desktop and phone? If you're like most of my clients, it is a big stash!

 

I recently worked with one client to organize her photos, then digitize them for easy reference AND safety. No one wants to think about flood or fire but when homes are destroyed it is always the ruined and lost photos that are missed the most.

 

If you feel like it is time to get your photos out of boxes, envelopes and files- or off your digital camera or phone, call me to schedule this very important project. You will feel so much better once your photos are in albums, discs and/or online to be shared and safe.  

 

One of my clients recently framed some of her favorite family pictures from many generations and paired them with current photos, and made a "Rogue's Gallery" on one wall. What a delightful way to share these treasured pictures!

 

I have also found some great resources for framing, photo books, online photo storage, photos on canvas and restoration.

 

Keep your history safe. 

 

Favorite Tools:

Well, laugh if you must, but I have just made a HUGE discovery and that is the value of Lazy Susans! I tried it out with a client, then put the idea to work in my own house. Now everybody is getting them. They come in a variety of materials and sizes, and there are even double-decker Lazy Susans,  and some with a raised center.

Here is what it looked like when I started...a pain to find anything (luckily I didn't use the stuff on this shelf).

Upcoming Events and Classes:

In September I will be speaking to the Women Owned Business Network in Blue Bell. I look forward to offering these women great tips on Work-Life Balance.
Recent and Ongoing Projects:

We are in the process of two rather large basement projects. This is a great time of year to tackle the nice, cool basement! Basements are a place where we seem to put things, even though we will never use them again. Before you add that next item to your basement...ask yourself what the probability of using it again is. 


We are creating zones, adding shelves, sorting everything into labeled containers. This will make things so much better. We will be donating a lot of the usable items.
