Greetings!

Summer is here! I got started on vacation season a little early and recently enjoyed time with my family in Cape May, NJ. We stayed at the Longfellow House and had a great time. I highly recommend it. Later this summer I look forward to visiting the Adirondacks and spending time with good friends at Spring Pond on Upper Saranc Lake. Whatever you have planned for this vacation season I hope it is FUN!

Can you believe I am already celebrating 10 years in business! It's hard to believe! We have been and will continue to celebrate throughout the year. Any excuse for a party!

Keep reading to find out more about recent projects I have been busy with- both personally and professionally. It seems that my clients teach me as much as I teach them and the ideas keep coming! I am including lots of great organizing ideas in this issue so feel free to forward to a friend who might benefit!

Have you been on Pinterest yet? Check out and follow my boards on Pinterest. You see that I have already pinned many ideas you can use to organize your life, your closet, you garage, your kids, and even your mud room! It is so much fun to discover other pinner's great ideas and share them with you. I am adding ideas daily.

Paper Management

Guess what ? Even Professional Organizers have to organize their own homes! I recently got rid of one full filing cabinet and scanned what I didn't toss. Now the documents I need are in the "cloud", the best thing is that I can access all of these documents when I am out and about if needed. During this fun (for me) project I learned some great approaches I look forward to showing my clients.

Maybe we can get paperless!

Vacation Tips: Use Your Camera for Peace of Mind

No matter where you travel this summer, you are sure to have your camera with you. It can do more than capture a great sunset, it can also help you stay safe!
  • If you are in a foreign country photograph the sign of the name of your hotel, that way if there is a language issue you can show the photo to your cab drivers
  • Take a photo of your traveling partners, so that if you get separated, you can just whip out your phone or camera and show the photo to people who may have seen your friends, this is especially valuable if you are traveling with children
  •  Use Evernote to organize your vacation, that way you can look up the info on  any electronic device. While you are on vacation you can also document the trip in Evernote by journaling and posting your photos

Recent and Ongoing Projects

Great news! The home that I worked on prepacking and decluttering sold! The best news is that the realtor was able sold signto increase the sales price by an additional 10% after the stager and my team finished, and the final selling price was 9% over what she was going to price it for initially. My estimates are that this client netted an additional $30K by having the home professionally prepared for sale. A very good return on the investment.

Monday I will be finishing a HUGE photo project for a client. We organized and sorted a gazillion photos, they were all scanned into iPhoto and then we stored them in beautiful Semikolon boxes, all we need to do is label. Very exciting, this has been hanging over my client's head for years. Now she can check it off of her list!

Next is a project to help a senior citizen who moved into an independent living community. Her movers unpacked her and now she cannot find certain things and she doesn't like where they put other things.

So, now we will go in and correct the issues she was left with. It will be good to help someone make better sense of their  space.

A special thank you to previous clients who recently hired me for another round of organizing. If you have already worked with me and have a project we could work on together this summer, please call me to schedule a consultation.
