Greetings!

I've been an organizer for - wow, it's been 7 years! Over the years, I have come to see that for some people it is so much more than de-cluttering or using space more efficiently. Being disorganized is very much a burden, and for many, solutions seem out of reach. So when my clients take steps away from old habits, it can change their lives in unexpected ways.

For some, putting systems in place means they find time for things that matter to them. For others, the constant struggle to hold back the chaos was a flashpoint for trouble in their relationships and careers, which turned a corner when they were given the means to deal with it. June Success Story

Some people seem to be born organized, for others it can be quite challenging. "Ron" was definitely in the latter category. "Ron" was a serious photographer - he belonged to a few clubs, he had won awards for his pictures, it was truly his passion. But every project ended up being a chore due to the chaos in his workroom, and his hopes of branching out seemed stymied by lack of space.

He was persuaded to seek out a professional organizer, and agreed to begin with a "clean sweep," removing everything from the room in order to start fresh. We began by creating spaces for everything, and accommodated his unique need for visual order by removing the doors of the closet and using open shelving, allowing him to see instantly where everything was. We then eliminated duplication and unnecessary items, and brought all his equipment and supplies back in, grouping everything as we went. He was thrilled to have room for a new worktable, large enough to start working on his photographs, something he had long dreamed of.

"What looked to me like an abandoned trash closet turned out to be a lot of space," says Ron. "I also was surprised to find myself being part of the organizing - something I'd never thought possible. If I can do this, anyone can - even if you have to ask for help."
Great Rainy Day Project
  • Go through last year's schoolwork
  • Decide what you need to keep
  • Store in appropriate containers
  • Schoolfolio and Art Files are 2 favorites to store the work in!

June Opportunity

Got old photos and memorabilia?

Most of us have boxes of old photos, if not a lot of boxes. I have located a company that will take old pictures, do interviews, etc, and put them into a beautifully bound hard backed album.  This can be done for an individual, a family, or a couple. It's a beautiful way to honor your family's story for future generations.

For many people, taking part in the organizing process awakened them to the possibility that, yes, there are ways to do this, that organizing can be part of your skill set, revealing confidence and energy they didn't know they had.

Over the last 7 years, I have been truly gratified by the depth of the changes people have been able to make in their lives. The phrase "think thin" comes to mind - when one sheds a few pounds, the reward is more than smaller clothing sizes: we move better, feel better, we have new energy and a feeling that anything is possible. When we get our lives organized, in ways we are leaner, operating more smoothly and more vigorously, and getting more done.

So Think Thin! Get organized and back on the road of life!

Thanks for all the opportunities to help you on your journeys,
