Greetings!
Oh my goodness!! So, So, SO much to tell you this month - so let's just get down to business!!!
It's a long, long story - suffice it to say that I hit a few "forks in the road" recently that forced me to do some real soul-searching about where I was heading with Creations. In the end, I decided that rather than expanding out to other locations, I wanted to bring eveything back in, closer to home and expand there. In a nutshell, that means that I decided to move out of "amaze boutique" and double my booth space at Trendz. Can I just tell you that I am super-duper excited about my big move at Trendz, which is scheduled to BEGIN on April 3. I say "begin" because I realize that this will be a "work in progress", not an overnight transformation. I am also changing my focus a bit, when it comes to my product selection - more details on that later in this newsletter. Once I have things settled a bit, I will be having a "Grand Re-opening" event. We're talking a CNN Breaking News type of event... OK, wait - Let's rethink that. Maybe more like "Inside Edition". I simply cannot rule out the possibility that some big name celebs might just stop by. I went to school (MU) with Sheryl Crowe and Brad Pitt (same fraternity as my husband) and I'm 99% sure I was standing next to David Cassidy in the Post Office when we lived in London back in the 80"s. So -Ya - I know people. You simply do not want to miss out on this Grand Re-opening... Stay tuned.
Cheers!

Click this link - and "like" me!!
BIG FAVOR from those of you on Facebook!!!
(But it will take you less than 30 seconds!)
Simply click on the Facebook link above, which will take you to my new Facebook Creations page. Then hit the "like" button up at the top and ~ Voila!! That was the "BIG favor"!! FYI -If you were actually searching for me on Facebook, you would find me @ www.facebook.com/creationsbycathykc

Each of these (Business Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) are considered "a work in progress", as I navigate my way through the world of "social media"!!! I have been attending seminars and am currently preparing to do some"one-on-one" work with a social media "coach" - so please be patient with me. I also have a blog account and a YouTube account - so I will let you know when those are up and running!! Ha! Whatever happened to those "Mom & Pop" corner stores where you paid in cash (what's that?) and walked out with a hand-written receipt...
"You can learn new things at any time in your life if you're willing to be a beginner. If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you."

5 tips to shave off a few
"cocktail hour" calories
1. Alternate alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to save calories.
2. Choose wine, light beer, or simple cocktails made with low-calorie mixers.
3. Skip the mixer altogether. Try one of the new flavored liquors on the rocks, etc.
4. Dilute your drink with club soda or sparkling water.
5. Have a game plan BEFORE you go out. Decide in advance the number of cocktails you are going to drink and cut back on calories accordingly during the day. Be sure to eat something before you go. Be aware of your personal limits and what your body can handle. Don't drink and drive!!

Ok- so one of the new product lines that I will be carrying is Indigo Wild... maker of the "Zum Bar", among other things. Went down there to pick up my order (they are a Kansas City company) and had a little tour of the factory, which was fun! Click on the YouTube link above to take a little peek behind the scenes inside the factory... Too fun!
(No - I cannot take credit for the video footage!) |

This is what was waiting for me when I got home from picking up my Indigo Wild order... 19 boxes - all from the same company. It's been really hard to keep up with the orders coming in lately!! Just getting ready for April 3...!!!! |

"giftware, glassware, gourmet"
As you may have noticed, Creations has a new "tagline"... "giftware, glassware, gourmet".
I want you, my treasured customer, to think Creations whenever you need a gift for a girlfriend, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, neighbor, wedding, birthday, anniversary... or maybe just a little something for yourself!! I will continue to create my hand-painted glassware that you can custom order or purchase right off the shelves there at Trendz. Also sticking around are customer favorites such as flour sack towels, chip clips, Wine-A-Ritas, Wind & Willow and Stonewall Kitchen. There will be a return of some "oldies but goodies", such as Nouvelle candles and "party picks" - and then a whole bunch of fun new lines - but I think I'm going to keep you in suspense for now...
Guess you'll just have to wait and see! |
