"A Touch of Glass"
Volume 4; Issue 9 |
Greetings!
Well - believe it or not, it's actually September - which means that fall is just around the corner... I don't know about you, but I can't wait!! I am hoping for a nice, long fall, and a short, mild winter (like maybe a week or so in the 40's?) After the scorching heat of this past summer, I think that most of us are ready for that transition into fall.
OK - that's a nice segway into what I want to talk about - the season of change for Creations...
Over the next few months, you are also going to see some big changes in the type of merchandise carried at Trendz AND amaze. When all is said and done - you will find Trendz to be more of a gourmet food / cooking / entertaining venue and amaze as a funky cocktail party venue. Both will continue to carry all of my hand-painted glassware and accessories and special orders will always be welcome at both locations. (And of course, you can always email or phone me!!! See the website for contact info) www.creationsbycathy.net
I am super excited about these changes, as my ultimate goal was to provide you, my customer, with an enjoyable, but very different, experience at each location! Although there are many things that I will carry in both stores, I want each of them to have their own unique personalities!! So join me on the journey and be patient with the progress. There is so much fun ahead...!
Cheers, and blessings...
Cathy

(Don't worry - we will have the Wind & Willow line of dips at Trendz!) As for our second winner - whose name was drawn from all those who participated in the tasting contest - it was Kerry Jones!! Congrats Kerry!
- Check out my "bio" on the amaze website... I was the first artist to be featured, so I'm pretty excited!!! www.amazeboutique.com

"Napa Valley"...my #1 seller every fall!!
Shown here in a 14oz. Bordeaux for $42 | |
Sangria
In my opinion - a great drink to transition us from summer to fall...
1 lemon, lime and orange
1 1/2 cups rum
1/2 cup white sugar
1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
1 cup orange juice
Have the fruit, rum, wine and orange juice well chilled. Slice the fruit into thin rounds and place in a large glass pitcher. Pour in the rum and sugar. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours to develop the flavors. When ready to serve, crush the fruit lightly with a wooden spoon and stir in the wine and orange juice. Adjust sweetness to taste. Enjoy!
