Happy Birthday!!! 
OK - I know it's not really your birthday - but Trendz is celebrating it's 1st Birthday, and I am celebrating my 49th on May 2 - so it just seemed like a perfect time to honor everyone's birthday!!  Consider this your personal invitation to our "Trendz Birthday Party" this Thursday, May 6 (see info below) and read all the way through
the newsletter for a chance to win a little birthday treat from me to you!! 
 
April was a really busy month for me - and in the midst of all the chaos,  I moved in to my new (2nd) booth at Trendz and brought in new furniture & merchandise for my original booth (see pics below).  I'm not crazy about the way everything is merchandised at this point - but that will continue to be a work in progress!!  I will try to keep you updated... 
 
And speaking of merchandise - you need to help me  (PLEASE!) by letting me know what you would like to see in the way of merchandise - specific occasions (birthday, wedding, anniversaries...), categories of items (cooking, gardening, entertaining, bath/spa/relaxation, kid's stuff, pet items...) - anything that you can think of!!   Did I carry something years ago that you miss?  Have you seen something somewhere else that you would love for me to carry?  Am I completely missing the boat on something wonderful?  I am very transitional right now, which is really fun and exciting,  so I am completely open to any/all suggestions!!   I would love to hear from YOU - for without you, Creations would wither away to nothing!!

Roasted Garlic Onion Jam

SK roasted onion garlic jam
Baked Camembert
1 8-oz wheel of Camembert Cheese, or 2 6-oz wheels
1/3 cup Stonewall Kitchen Roasted Garlic Onion Jam
1/2 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (I use more!)
2 Tbsp walnuts or pecans, toasted
 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Prepare a baking sheet by greasing lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Making sure you only cut through the rind of the cheese, run a knife around the top (1/4" in from the edge of the cheese).  Make several cuts across the cheese forming small triangles, and then gently remove the top rind forming a shallow cup to hold the jam.
  3. Spread the jam over the top of the cheese.  Sprinkle the rosemary and nuts on top.  Place on baking sheet and bake 20 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and soft. 
  4. Transfer cheese to a serving dish with a spatula.  Serve warm with crackers or french bread.

OK - We definitely want to celebrate - but we don't neccessarily want all of those extra calories/carbs.  Here's a little something to get that celebration started on a lighter note...
 
Cosmo Champagne 
 
1 oz citrus vodka
1/2 oz orange sugar-free syrup (Like DaVinci-check in the coffee aisle)
1 1/2 oz Ocean Spray Diet or Light Cranberry Juice
2 lime wedges - squeezed
Orange twist - garnish
1 oz Brut Champagne
 
Combine first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with orange twist and top with Champagne.
