"A Touch of Glass"
Volume 3;  Issue 1
Greetings!
                                                                         January 2009
Hello everyone - and Happy New Year!!!!  Is it just me or did the holiday season just fly by way too fast this year...?  I feel like I just got the holiday decorations up and started baking, and it's already time to take down the tree and start dieting!!  I have a little procrastination tip for all of you out there who aren't quite ready to "pack it all up"...  I leave all of my greenery and white lights up throughout the house through the month of January and decorate with a snowman theme - kind of like a winter wonderland. It's my way of putting a positive spin on something that I detest... the cold weather!!
Well - I do have some very good news to share with all of you...  my new website is finally up and running!!  Yippee!!  We are still working out some of the kinks, and the "behind the scenes" stuff is a lot more complicated with this site - so please be patient with me as we sort through everything together!  Check it out, and let me know what you think!  I would love to hear your feedback!
Here's to a great 2009!!!
Cheers!
Cathy

Santa's report for Creations holiday season; 2008
  •  I think that the range of people who received gifts from Creations this year pretty much covered every category imaginable...  parents, grandparents, children, siblings, in-laws, general relatives, co-workers, bosses, neighbors, girlfriends, bunco buddies and exchanges, hostess gifts, teachers...
  • Although the majority of my holiday business was local - there were also many, many packages making their way to destinations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, California, South Dakota, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Colorado and Rhode Island.  Thanks UPS!!!
  • About 2000 people viewed my website over the past couple of months during the holiday season; including visitors from Canada, Netherlands, Japan, Great Britain, Hungary, Australia, Germany and India

The "cocktail recipes" for this month are strictly "mocktails" - and also HEALTHY - in honor of all of those New Year's resolutions that we are vowing to keep this year... So enjoy!!

Angela AbshereLBBPokerCheeseballSpArt  New Year's Day

Every year on New Years Day my husband gets together with a group of buddies for a day of cards, football and food.  Needless to say - I don't think New Year's resolutions are discussed... For information on these items, as well as many others - Go to the "Giftware" page on my new website!
Here's what my husband took this year to his New Year's Day "Poker Party"...  Easy and yummy!

Olive & Cream Cheese Spread

1/3 cup finely chopped olives*
2 T. finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes in oil
1/2 T. oil from sun-dried tomatoes
3 T. chopped fresh basil
1 t. cider vinegar
1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes
1 large clove garlic, finely chopped
8 oz softened cream cheese**

Stir together all ingredients except cream cheese.  To serve, place softened cream cheese on a serving platter and spread cream cheese into an 8-inch round.  Spoon olive mixture over cream cheese and garnish with basil sprigs.  Serve with crackers.
