Happy New Year!

2008...  WOW!  How did that happen?  I honestly don't know where the time goes.  New Year's Day has always been a reflective time for me - a time to look back and be thankful for the many blessings of the passing year.  2007 was an incredible year for Creations; and I have all of my wonderful customers to thank for that!
I am also so very thankful for my two wonderful families - and I would like to pay tribute to them this month, as well.  My mom has always considered herself to be part of the "Ya Ya Sisterhood" - so, Mom - this month - the punch recipe is just for you...
My husband and his family were kind enough to share the "Toth" name with me almost 24 years ago.  In Hungary, "Toth" is a very common name - so this month I would like to sign off and welcome in the new year in a very special way...

 Words of (Wine) Wisdom:
Balance:
Describes a wine with harmonious elements, in reference to the balance of acids, tannins and fruit.

Body:
The feeling of a wine's weight in the mouth, such as full-bodied, medium-bodied or light-bodied.

Bouquet:
Often used interchangeably with the word aroma.  Some tasters use the term to specifically refer to the scents of a bottle-aged wine, which includes the complexities beyond the fruit aromas of a young wine.

Q:  What is the proper way to hold a wine glass?
A:  The proper way to hold a wine glass is by the stem.  It keeps fingerprints off the glass, and makes it easier to raise the glass into the proper position to enjoy the bouquet.

How lucky am I to get such nice emails...!

"Subject: Glasses are a hit!
Just had to share.  Mary gave your glasses/plate to the bride and groom early so they could open them while she was there.  They loved them so much that they chose to drink out of them at the reception!  How fun is that!!??  Mary was pleased and I'm glad I had something really cool to suggest as a gift.  You are the best!  I'll keep you in mind for the next big splash we need to make."
