ACTION:
Please contact Senator Landrieu now and ask her to support the Nelson-Hatch Amendment to Senator Reid's health care bill (H.R. 3590).
 
Reach her Washington office at 202.224.5824.  If the line is busy, please call her local offices (find the list by clicking here) and email her (click here to email).  Also, please go by her offices throughout the state. Remember to give them your address and ask them to get back with you on where the Senator stands.

DETAILS:
In the next day or two, the Senate will vote on the Nelson-Hatch Amendment to the Reid health care bill.  The Nelson-Hatch Amendment, similar to the Stupak Amendment from the House, would prohibit the government funding of abortion in health care reform.

Without this amendment, the Senate health care reform legislation authorizes the government funding of abortion through the "public option" and allows federal subsidies to help purchase private plans that fund abortion.

Please call and email Senator Landrieu and urge her to support the Nelson-Hatch Amendment to H.R. 3590!
