Greetings!
With one confirmed life saved already, the 2009 40 Days for Life New Orleans Campaign has had a great start!
Late on Friday, we received word that one mother chose life after very strongly considering abortion. Thanks to the prayers of our vigilers, the words of sidewalk counselors, and the work of nearby pregnancy centers, that baby will have a chance to have its own birthday!
So far, every hour at the vigil has been filled with both first time and experienced vigilers. The groups that have adopted days have ranged from Tulane Students for Life, New Life Fellowship, and St. Clement of Rome (just to name a few!).
Moreover, even with pouring rain before and after the Kick-Off Rally last Tuesday, 150-200 people still came out to commence the campaign. Passionate speakers, profound stories, great music, and a sense of excitement filled the air!
Your 40 Days for Life New Orleans Campaign is in full swing, and if you have not participated yet, now is the time! Here are a few things you can do:
Keep up the great work, and see you at the vigil!
