Greetings!

Thanks to everyone who attended the "Listening Tour" event in Reserve, LA yesterday!

As many shuffled in to listen to HHS Secretary Sebelius and others, they were met with a very clear message proudly displayed by 25-30 pro-lifers: "Abortion is NOT Health Care!"

As the Baton Rouge Advocate reported today, when Secretary Sebelius was asked about funding for abortion in health care reform, she stated that since the legislation does not specify what benefits are included, those decisions will be left to a separate medical advisory committee.

And her is the kicker.  Secretery Sebelius said:

"It's wise to let science guide what the best health-care package is."

Well, whose "science" do you think will guide this decision?

There is no doubt that unless abortion coverage is explicitly excluded from health care legislation, the Obama Administration will use it own "science" to mandate the tax funding of abortion.

As we said last week, we must act to prevent the greatest expansion of abortion since 1973.

Here is what you can do:

1. Contact Congressman Melancon and Senator Landrieu now and say: "Please oppose any health care reform that does not explicitly exclude abortion coverage and health care rationing." 
   
   Congressman Melancon is on a critical committee, and Senator Landrieu is a vital swing vote in the Senate.  Call, email, and write them.  Click there names above to learn how to contact them.
   
   
2. Join the National "Stop the Abortion Mandate" WebCast on this Thursday evening at 8 PM to learn more.  If you have not already heard about it, learn more and register online: www.StoptheAbortionMandate.com.  Be sure, though, to remember the action items specific to Louisiana (found in #1).
