U.S. Department of Education: 2012 National Meeting and Grants
The U.S. Department of Education will NOT be hosting a 2012 National Meeting on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention in Higher Education. The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2012
did not provide funding for this meeting, nor is there funding to run discretionary grant competitions to address alcohol and other drug abuse and violence prevention on college campuses as was intended, and as requested in the President's FY 2012 budget request. The Department's Higher Education Center will continue to deliver technical assistance trainings and products throughout 2012 and we encourage you to continue to take advantage of these resources.
