CDC Reports High-Risk Drinking Is a Bigger Problem Than Previously Thought

More than 38 million U.S. adults "binge" drink an average of four times a month, and the most drinks they consume on average is eight. Binge drinking prevalence (28.2 percent) and intensity (9.3 drinks) were highest among persons aged 18-24 years.
