This Week! New Bystander Intervention Program

Men Can Stop Rape (MCSR) has released a new bystander intervention program for men, called Where Do You Stand? The program, designed for college campuses, builds on the strength of MCSR's Strength Campaign by including positive messages, promoting healthy masculinity, and having action recommendations that highlight what can be done.

Registration Open! SCOPE 2011 Annual Conference

The School and College Organization for Prevention Educators (SCOPE) announces that registration is open for its 2011 Annual International Conference. Keynote speakers Alan Berkowitz, Ph.D., Linda Langford, Sc.D., and Jane Stapleton, M.A., will discuss the "State of Prevention Research: Compelling Findings, Effective Programs, and New Directions."

Letter from ONDCP Director and Secretary of Education Regarding the 2011

National Drug Control Strategy

ONDCP Director Gil Kerlikowske and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan have released a letter to higher education institutions highlighting President Obama's 2011 National Drug Control Strategy (Strategy). The Strategy reflects the Obama Administration's comprehensive and balanced efforts to reduce drug use and its consequences. Director Kerlikowske and Secretary Duncan invite college and university leaders to join them along with other federal agency partners to work collaboratively to prevent illegal drug use and high-risk drinking in college and university communities.
