New Center This Week! Features, publications, Prevention Updates, and learning and training opportunities
This Week! HazingPrevention.Org Launches Redesigned Web Site HazingPrevention.Org has launched a new-and-improved Web site that is designed to be more interactive and current, offer more information, and do it all in a better graphic format than the previous site. The Web site should also engage a broader audience than the traditional Greek segment-students, athletes, parents, athletics directors and coaches, teachers, advisers, journalists, and others seeking information about the issue. The Web site provides information about hazing as well as links to other online resources.

New Report: State Estimates of Substance Use and Mental Disorders from the 2008-2009 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH)
This July 2011 report for policymakers, prevention professionals, public health professionals, and researchers from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) presents state estimates for 25 measures of substance use or mental disorders based on 2008 and 2009 statistics and estimates of change from previous years' data. It reports on illicit drug, alcohol, and tobacco use; treatment need; and mental health factors.

National Drug Control Policy Director Gil Kerlikowske has released the National Drug Control Strategy 2011 (Strategy). The Strategy reflects the Obama Administration's comprehensive and balanced efforts to reduce drug use and its consequences.
