Announcement: Vice President Biden Announces New Sexual Violence Prevention Guidance

The sexual harassment of students, including sexual violence, interferes with students' right to receive an education free from discrimination and, in the case of sexual violence, is a crime. On April 4, 2011, Vice President Biden and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan introduced comprehensive guidance to help schools, including colleges and universities, better understand their obligations to prevent and respond to the problem of campus sexual assault.
