Preventing Suicide among LGBT Youth: Free Kit for Workshop Leaders

An increased risk for suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) young people has been highlighted in numerous recent events nationwide. LGBT adolescents have a higher suicide rate than other youth groups. The Suicide Prevention Resource Center has developed a free workshop kit to help staff in schools, youth-serving organizations, and suicide prevention programs take action to reduce suicidal behavior among LGBT students.

It exists to empower young adults to live out their dreams and goals through peer support and resource sharing. The site includes a dedicated Campus Life section with discussion groups and resources. Create a free account for access to social networking. The site's NAMI-generated content can also be viewed without an account.
