This Week! 2011 NASPA Prevention-Themed Conferences- Call for Programs

The NASPA-Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Mental Health Conference and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention & Intervention Conference will be held simultaneously in January 2011. Registrants can register for one conference and attend sessions at the other!

New CDC Health Communication Web site

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have just released the Gateway to Health Communication and Social Marketing Practice Web site.  The site is dedicated to supporting effective health communication and social marketing campaigns and programs.

 

Among many other resources, the site includes the Health Communicator's Social Media Toolkit

 

This guide focuses on:

  • Developing governance for social media
  • Determining channels to best meet communication objectives
  • Creating social media strategy
  • Popular channels (e.g., blogs, video-sharing sites, RSS feeds, and mobile applications)
