Greetings!
We all suffer from some sort of shame. It cripples us in a myriad of ways. Some shame is obvious such as sexual shame which can lead to an inability to enjoy sex. Other forms of shame are hidden from our immediate awareness. For instance, you might feel shame because you haven't lived up to your full potential but rather than face that you may be projecting your shame onto others in the form of judgments and criticisms.
Healing shame is a huge topic. I certainly won't do the topic justice with this one newsletter. But as part of an ongoing mission to eliminate shame, I can offer you shame busting articles such as the two you will find below. The first is brand new and the second was so popular last month, I am offering it again this month.
Please enjoy! And don't forget to email your comments for inclusion in next month's newsletter!

From Your Tango: What Makes Women Vulnerable To Hate Speech?
We expect filth and stupidity to emanate from the likes of Rush Limbaugh. But his recent verbal barrage against Georgetown University law student, Sandra Fluke, has created consternation and concern for otherwise hardened reporters and practiced pundits. It would seem the only individuals who have evidenced a tolerance for this sort of diatribe are FOX news commentators and Republican presidential candidates such as Mitt Romney who proffered a milquetoast "It's not the language I would have used."
I deplore Rush Limbaugh's use of the words "slut" and "prostitute." Yet I have been publicly referring to myself as a slut, a prostitute and whore for decades. In fact, I once told Howie Mandel during a guest appearance on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect, that I preferred to be called a "whore." Why would I say such a thing? [read more]
I use a very successful combination of education and role playing to increase connection and compassion. Email me or text 415.407.2932 to learn more.
