I confess I was having too much fun to get this newsletter to you on time!
I apologize for waiting until June to send your May issue of The Wealthy Woodpecker. I just got back from 8 days in Seattle and a day in Santa Cruz and I didn't even realize I forgot to connect with you during my tours. Kind of silly since the Sex 2.0 conference in Seattle was all about Social Media and Networking. But hey, I HAVE kept up with Facebook. Are we Facebook friends yet? If not just click here  . Better hurry because soon I won't be able to accept anymore Facebook friends since the limit is 5,000 friends. But don't worry, I will have two fan pages and we can stay connected that way.
Seattle was utterly amazing! So many sex educators, sex workers, sexual activists and sexually savvy souls in one place just sent the sexual energy right out of orbit! Needless to say many of us did more than talk about sex - sex educators and activists need to stay sexually engaged so our material is vibrant and infused with the verve and joy you have come to expect from us!
But not all was fun and sex games. We also tackled some pretty serious topics such as the role feminism has played in sexual politics over the years. An Uncommon Approach to Health and Longevity
The New York Time's April 12 article entitled "Is Marriage Good for Your Health?" uncovered some very interesting statistics about relationships and health as this snippet reveals:
" . . . the emotional tone of a marital fight turned out to be just as predictive of poor heart health as whether the individual smoked or had high cholesterol. It is worth noting that the couples in Smith's study were all relatively happy. These were husbands and wives who loved each other. Yet many of them had developed styles of conflict that took a physical toll on each other. The solution, Smith noted, isn't to stop fighting. It's to fight more thoughtfully."
What the article fails to tell us is just exactly how do you "fight more thoughtfully?" Let me answer that question here: what constitutes the type of conflict which will lead to improved well-being? Fair Fighting!
Fair Fighting is a technique which doesn't require therapy or a some long drawn out journey into your childhood. Fair Fighting techniques really work and best of all perhaps is the fact that you will start getting the connection and compassion you crave while creating a more harmonious daily life for yourself and your partner(s).

My In-Person Appointments are Becoming Quite Popular!
I am happy to report a marked increase in the number of women especially who are choosing to schedule in-person appointments at my Nevada City office.
