While a few subscribers obviously did not take kindly to my plea for help as evidenced by their prompt unsubscribes, most of you were generous with your time, money and love. As steep as the cost of Blanco's emergency surgery was (about $5,000), and as invaluable as your gifts of money are, I want you to know that the love and caring is even more important. Some of you couldn't spare a dime but you took the time to empathize with me and share your pet stories. Thanks to each and everyone of you, my world view has experienced a dramatic transformation. As the help came pouring in I was humbled by your generosity and literally fell to my knees one day and cried like a baby. I had never asked for help before and I now know that I share this planet with some amazing people. True, I already knew some of you are amazing. But I have never met many of you and the level of caring and generosity of virtual strangers truly took my breath away. Whether your are a friend, colleague, client or someone I have yet the pleasure of meeting, know that your gifts of time, money and love have touched me deeply.
By the way, I apologize for the lousy links in my last email. If you have been frustrated with attempts to contribute toward Blanco's medical costs, you can click here to donate. But don't risk your own finances to do it. Blanco is feeling much better and thanks to you I didn't have to go broke saving his life.

Hey Darling!
You hit the nail on the head with this article. Many people are deeply hurt and many people are overcome with fear of getting hurt again. That plays out in terrible ways within the most intimate relationships and has obvious ripple effects outward into the communities as well. It's so prevalent that it's becoming socially acceptable at an alarming level. The reality shows project this perfectly.
There is no room for Fear where there is Faith. When the fear goes, then the hurt can be looked at and healed too. If we could find a way to help people find Faith, in themselves, in Life, or Spirit, or whatever could make the most sense to them, then perhaps the fear would be eased and the anger and defenses would naturally come down as well. Some of us, like you, have walked that road from fear into faith and can set an example for others, which you are doing beautifully!
