How to Get Unstuck and Feel Great Too!
American Flag"Nothing we can do can change the past, but everything we do changes the future."  Ashleigh Brilliant

As things begin to loosen up in the economy it will become important to change up your business routine. The other day I received an unsolicited recommendation from a client on Linked-In. It made my day and it also reminded me how impactful the personalized, unsolicited referral can be. Pick three people to refer--and take the time to do it! Today's market is all about relevance, so make sure your referral is something your client, friends or customers can really benefit from before you hit SEND. But definitely do it. You will be surprised by what this kind of action can do for you.

My Three:

Mary LoVerde--In case you did not catch her on The Oprah Show, my friend Mary's message and real life-balance strategies are more popular than ever. Her books Stop Screaming at the Microwave and I used to have a handle on life but it broke (Simon & Schuster) are simply ground-breaking when it comes to managing life and our stress from trying to do it all in business and in life. To book Mary at a major meeting or event--and for lots of free resources on life balance--check out her website at www.maryloverde.com.

Mark LeBlanc--If you have a friend, spouse or family member who is building an  independent small business, they should apply to attend one of the many Achiever's Circle meetings around the country with business expert Mark LeBlanc. Mark was my business coach for many years and is famous for his strategies for marketing, aligning the message and building a successful model.  Lots of info on Mark and the Achiever's Circle can be found on his website at www.markleblanc.com

Ricochet (Country Music Band)--There is something moving and so patriotic about this CMA Nominated band's acapella rendition of The Star Spangled Banner--wow! Maybe it is the harmony or maybe it the fact that a group of hard-working, red-blooded American men are singing it. To me, even more impressive than the fact that two of the band members are my husband's cousins is this: my 11-year-old son has memorized the lines to every song on their Live album. This music will appeal to everyone!  Meeting planners: this is the group to book at your next gig. The rest of us can download their music at http://www.ricochetonline.com/music.php or check them out on YouTube.
