Are you tired of seeing the word "inaudible" appear in your transcripts?  Remember microphones pick up all sounds in the room not just voices.  So when you are dropping books on the table (KERTHUNK), crumbling paper (CRINKLE CRACKLE CRUNCH), flipping pages in a book (SWISH) or walking around the room while talking (especially in high heels - CLICKITY CLACK) the microphone picks up all these noises and more and drowns out your voice.  

Help us help you.  In order to give you the best possible transcript of your hearing please remember the above mentioned items as well as:

Speak into the microphone and talk slowly and clearing.  Pretend you are addressing a 10-year-old trying to get your point across.

When offering exhibits give a clear description of exhibit and clearly state the exhibit number.  This is especially true in cases where there have been multiple dates of hearings and the exhibit numbers have been changed from one hearing date to another for whatever reason.

We know it is important for you to get your points and your arguments on the record.  Please remember if more than one person is talking we may not be able to hear what you said and get it in the transcript.
