USASA's George F. Donnelly Cup Makes a Come Back!

Donnelly Cup logoThis year's Donnelly Cup will be played on July 16, 17, and 18 in Lancaster, Massachusetts. The competitive tournament will be held in conjunction with the Veteran's Cup and promises to be a very exciting event.

The Donnelly Cup is open to all State Select Teams as well as National League and Regional League Select/All-Star Teams, or, as an alternative to a State Association Select Team, a State Association sanctioned league select team.  USASA held the cup over two years ago in January, 2008, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, so this year it will be as enjoyable and memorable as in the past. We hope to see you there!

Registration is now open. For further information please contact Dan Roberge at droberge@usasa.com or by phone at 978-390-9968. Registration deadline is July 15, 2010.

USASA Welcomes the Maine Adult Soccer Association

On February 5, 2010, the Maine Adult Soccer Association (MASA) was officially accepted as a new member organization within the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).  The vote took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, during the USASA National Council Meeting held in conjunction with US Soccer's Annual General Meeting.

MASA is expected to kick off play in May and will welcome many teams already playing in the area.  "There was no representation for adults in Maine.  In order to participate in various events, Maine players had to do it through other state associations," commented MASA President, Cheryl Stokes.

USASA looks forward to working alongside the MASA as they go forward in growing adult soccer in the great state of Maine!
