The USASA Implementation Volunteer Questionnaire is designed to give USASA members an opportunity to be part of the strategic planning process. USASA is currently seeking volunteer team leaders who can be responsible for planning and executing specific objectives.

Florida State Soccer To Hold Tournament In January
 
Florida Classic LogoThe Florida State Soccer Association invites you to the Florida Classic (formerly known as Disney Classic) on January, 28-31, 2010.
The tournament will take place at Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale, Florida, where participants will enjoy three games (guaranteed).

There are 9 Divisions available:  Men's Open, O30, O35, O40, O45, O50, O55; Coed; and Women's Open.

Early Bird Registration ends December 31, 2009 - Fee: $725
Regular Registration deadline is January 15, 2010 - Fee: $825

Hawaii Women Win World Masters Title

Womens O50
The 7th Annual World Masters Games were held this past October at the 2000 Olympic sites in Sydney, Australia. The World Masters Games consisted of 29,000 athletes from 95 different countries playing in 28 different sports being soccer one of them.
 
Hawaii' Over-50 Women's soccer team, Holomua, played undefeated in 9 games outscoring opponents 35 to 5. Most of these players were champions earlier this year in the USASA Veteran's Cup and also 4 of the last 5 years. Many were also on the USSF National Open Championship team in 1991.
 
Congratulations to Holomua for bringing the winning title to the U.S., and for being a fine example of adult soccer!

Norwalk Mariners SC Featured On "The Hour" Online News

Norwalk MarinersNorwalk Mariners SC is a Men's Over 30 team which plays in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League of the Connecticut State Soccer Association. 

The team was featured in a column in the Norwalk Newspaper "The Hour" which describes the heritage and history of the squad.
 
The article, Matthew Doran column: Mariners a labor of love for Cenatiempo, reads "You don't have to speak with Ted Cenatiempo very long to understand how passionate he is about the sport of soccer.  For Cenatiempo, a former All-New England goaltender at Norwalk High who went on to win a Division II national championship at Southern Connecticut State University in 1987, the unexplainable magic he discovers when his foot taps..." Illinois Coaching Clinic

Illinois Coaching ClinicWe would like to introduce a newly United Stated Adult Soccer Association Licensed Coaches from Illinois (click picture).
 
The Illinois State Soccer Association hosted a Coaching Clinic at Toyota Park in Chicago which was conducted by Aleks Mihailovic.
 
The USASA Licensing Program is part of U.S. Soccer and it is designed to prepare coaches for the adult game and for coaches who wish to pursue the National C, B, and A USSF Course. The USASA National Course consists of:
-Tactics
-Methods of Coaching
-Team Management
-Laws of the Game
-Care and Prevention of injuries
-And more
