| USASA Concludes Successful Midyear Meeting & Soccer Summit |
A weekend filled with hope, emotions and recognition - all for the love of the game, took place at the USASA Fifteenth Annual Midyear Meeting in Mesa, Arizona, on October 8-11.
A welcome reception on Thursday night kicked off the event with a casual gathering of USASA members from across the United States. Brooks McCormick, USASA President, welcomed and thanked everyone for being part of this year's meeting and also introduced a slideshow of the 2008-2009 season. People mingled, laughed, talked, and had a perfect-weather evening.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, USASA's Vision & Strategy Soccer Summit was held and hosted by Hank Steinbrecher & Kevan Pipe of Sporting Strategies International Inc.; Tom O'Shea, Summit Task Force Chairman and Mark Haas, Research & Organization Management Inc President. | Record Number of Teams Played in 2009 Coed Cup |

 The best of adult coed soccer in the U.S. was present at the 2009 USASA Coed Cup Nationals for a soccer fun filled weekend in Dallas/Plano, Texas. The annual championship, being held at Russell Creek Park, welcomed thirty-three teams in 4 divisions, Open 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Over 30. Participating teams came from numerous USASA state associations across the country to play three matches (round robin), with the most-point teams advancing to semifinals and finals.
"This year's tournament was a success because teams were happy with the level of play" said Jeanne Smith, Coed Cup Co-Chair. "We also had the most entries ever and hope to keep growing for the next tournament and the next."
