| USASA Hall of Fame Unveils Inductees For 2009 |
 Eight individuals to be honored at the Organization's Midyear Meeting
The United States Adult Soccer Association announces the individuals selected to the USASA Hall of Fame, Class of 2009. The honorees will be inducted at the USASA Hall of Fame Ceremony Awards Dinner on Saturday, October 10, during the USASA Midyear Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Class of 2009, chosen by the USASA Hall of Fame Committee, includes: Steve Gogas, Joseph Gryzik, Ed Murphy (posthumous), Blaz Pesorda, Michael Patrick Ryan, Janet Slauson, Consalvo Turchi, and Pat Varsallona.
Hall of Fame Committee Chairman Bruno Trapikas, commenting on this year's selections, said "USASA is deeply appreciative for the contributions made by this year's inductees to the growth of the game and to the growth of the organization..."

| First & Second Round Pairings for '09 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Announced |
USASA Teams To Play 1st Round June 9thU.S. Soccer has announced the groupings for the first two rounds of the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup which will kick off with first-round matches on Tuesday, June 9, around the country. All 32 lower division teams will enter the tournament in the first round and have been grouped geographically into eight groups of four teams. With over 100 participating teams, the Veteran's Cup welcomes this year's tournament in Lancaster, Massachusetts on July 7-12. By the time the dust settles, the tournament will have nearly 110 teams - breaking the previous record of 103 from Wilmington, North Carolina in 2005.
