| USASA Hall of Fame Induction set for October |
The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), the governing body of adult soccer in the U.S., is pleased to announce the individuals selected to the USASA Hall of Fame, Class of 2008. The honorees will be inducted during the USASA Mid-Year Meeting to be held in San Antonio, Texas at an evening dinner ceremony on Friday, October 10, 2008. The Hall of Fame Class of 2008 includes the following distinguished group of individuals: Brian Alexander; Chanka K. Baldeosingh; Anthony Falcone; Debra Trapikas; and John Zangrilli. "We are pleased to welcome the Class of 2008 into the USASA Hall of Fame, although neither our words nor the awards to be presented can adequately recognize their devotion to the game we all love," said Hall of Fame Committee Chairman Bruno Trapikas, of this year's selections.

Elite Player Program Camp kicks off June 28 |
Three years ago, the original USASA Elite Player National Camp took place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. This year, the Camp is facing a slight change as the program was reformatted at the beginning of 2008. "The Camp is a whole different scenario. We expect the least amount of players in the history of the program. Although we aim for the future to be in the ninety-player bracket per male and female" said Elite Player Program Committee Chairman, Tony Dubrowski.
The National Camp, which expects about fifty players for each, men and women, will be played at San Bernardino Soccer Complex, San Bernardino, California. Men's Camp is schedule for June 28 through July 1; while the Women's will take place on July 3-6, 2008.

| Veteran's Cup to Celebrate 11th Anniversary! |
The U.S. Adult Soccer Association's Veteran's Cup is not your ordinary championship. With team entries of over eighty and representing all four Regions of the USASA, the six-day tournament is an excellent excuse to keep celebrating the game - even if you are in your sixties.
"The Veteran's Cup captures and celebrates the USASA slogan 'Your Game for Life' which affords players the opportunity to have a 30-year and over relationship within the event" said Veteran's Cup Chair Tim Busch, explaining that every year the competition is available to both men and women in the Over 30 division continuing through an Over 60 division. The United States Adult Soccer Association has set a date for its Mid Year Meeting and Workshops.
Save the date, as the national event will be held at the facilities of Marriott River Walk in historic San Antonio, Texas on October 9-12, 2008. The meeting welcomes over three-hundred attendees annually including Administrators, Coaches, and Referees from across the country. The selection of this year's site was based on a mixture of history, quality and unique local eatery, great nightlife, shops and entertainment; all within walking distance from the host hotel. | First and Second Rounds Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fixtures Announced |

U.S. Soccer has announced the first round pairings for the 2007 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The first round features 32 teams from the United Soccer Leagues First Division, USL Second Division, Premier Development League and United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) ranks. Pairings for the opening round were determined by blind draw. The first round will be played on Tuesday, June 10, with the winners facing off in the second round on June 24.
Eight USASA squads will participate in the first round of the Open Cup, with the N.Y. Pancyprian Freedom (Astoria, N.Y.) taking on Real Maryland (USL-2), Boston Olympiakos traveling to the Western Mass Pioneers (USL-2), the AAC Eagles (Chicago) hosting the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL-2) and RWB Adria (Chicago) facing the Rochester Rhinos (USL-1). Texas-based ASC New Stars (Houston) will travel to the Charleston Battery, Arizona Sahuaros (Phoenix) play host to the Seattle Sounders (USL-1) and Hollywood United will travel to the Portland Timbers (USL-1).
