Greetings!
Welcome to a special edition of the September eNewsletter of the Woodward Avenue Action Association! Its a great time to be in Michigan and on Woodward Avenue!
One vote, your vote can help the Woodward Avenue Action Association win $25,000 to help save one of the most significant historic sites in the world - the Ford Highland Park Plant.
Through the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the WA3 is participating in the online voting challenge, "This Place Matters". The project with the most votes in this nationwide contest will win $25,000 toward its completion.
We're not asking for a monetary donation and there's no commitment needed from you other than a few minutes to click and vote!
Help the Woodward Avenue Action Association preserve and restore the Ford Highland Park Plant today. A place that is the birthplace to modern manufacturing. The building that was once a gathering place of the world employing over 70,000 people from 63 countries speaking 100 languages. The site, where America turned to during wartime to supply our service men and women with everything from tanks to helmets
It's the aim of the Woodward Avenue Action Association to restore the interior of the assembly plant to a condition where public tours can be conducted. It is also our hope to raise the funds necessary to restore the administrative building on Woodward to become a visitor's center
Our vision is grand. However, the Highland Park Ford plant deserves no less. To allow this national treasure to remain in limbo any longer is an insult to the genius of Henry Ford and the determination of the American blue collar worker. To vote and learn more about the Ford Highland Park Plant here
