Greetings!
It's not only time to bring in the new year, but also the beginning of a new decade, with less fanfare than 2000, but no less significant.
If we look back over the last ten years, through hardships, joys and sorrows; we find it's the fun and laughter we remember most.
The mind has a wonderful way of reminding us of the good in our lives and the good in others!
So as 2010 comes to a close, let's raise a glass to the future; to stability, to peace in our hearts and around the world. As individuals, let's become the changes we wish to see around us and through osmosis lighten up this wonderful world of ours with joy and caring.

Giving Begins at Home - Announcing the Winner

In December we announced that we had a wonderful gift basket to give to a deserving individual or organization.
First of all we wish to thank everyone who shared their heart warming stories. Although it was very hard to narrow it down we had to choose, with the basket being presented to a well deserving mom; Isaura Pacheco.
Isaura works full-time and cares for her own mother, who suffers with Dementia, every day. The week days begin at 6:30 with a drive to mom's, work by 7:30, back to mom's at 3:30 to cook, clean, do laundry and get her ready for bed. Isaura then heads to her own home for dinner and chores . The weekends mean spending quality time with mom and the rest of the family.
In our book, Isaura is a well deserving mom.
