Dr. Andrade Addresses Hispanic Student Leadership Conference |
USHLI President, Dr. Juan Andrade, was the featured speaker at the 24th annual Hispanic Student Leadership Conference sponsored by Cumberland County College in Vineland, NJ and called upon the students to develop their leadership skills. Andrade advised the students to learn what they have to learn, get a philosophy that will sustain them, not to become victims of their circumstances, hold on to their dreams, avoid dream-busters, and to know who they are, what they are, and why. An estimated 260 students, teachers, and counselors attended.
The Hispanic Student Leadership Conference was organized by a superb team of Latino professionals employed at the college and lead by Luz Ojeda, Senior Admissions Counselor, and Diana Appel, Technical Operations Specialist Admissions and Registration. The President of Cumberland County College, Dr. Thomas Isekenegbe, welcomed the students to the conference.
