Andrade said that the nation's negative perception of Latinos, as it pertains to population growth, business development, civic participation, and economic impact, is being incorrectly shaped by non-Latinos and fueling anti-Latino sentiment in America. An estimated 150 students and young professionals attended.
Dr. Andrade was also honored by Latinas Unidas de Harvard "in recognition of his outstanding leadership in our community." The award was presented on behalf of the group by Treasurer, Jennifer Rodriguez. Adrianna Stanley is the president of Latinas Unidas de Harvard.
