Our 2012 strategy of partnering with local or existing initiatives continued as Georgia State University hosted its 4th College Student Leadership Summit, the last two in partnership with USHLI.  An estimated 75 college students representing nine (9) colleges and universities in Georgia and Florida attended.

Carlos Ojeda, considered the best motivational speaker in the nation in his age range, was the featured speaker in Atlanta, GA.   Ernesto Mejia conducted three leadership development workshops.  This dynamic duo comprises the most powerful standing-ovation quality motivational tag-team in the nation.

USHLI's Student Leadership Series was able to partner with Amy Molina, Coordinator of the Office of Latino Student Services & Outreach at Georgia State University.  While the planning and organizing process, as well as conducting of the Summit was handled by GSU, USHLI was able to help secure the availability of the two featured speakers (Carlos and Ernesto), and cover their airfare, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and designed the printed materials.  In acknowledging the partnership with Georgia State, USHLI President Dr. Juan Andrade said, "We enjoyed the opportunity to partner with GSU during these last two years, after having been one of their featured speakers during the first two years.  It is important to support the efforts of our students in any way possible and it has been our privilege to engage in this partnership.  We are confident that the College Student Leadership Summit will continue to grow."
