Through Raffle Ticket Sales

 

The Buick Division of General Motors has donated a 2012 Verano to USHLI to raise funds for scholarships and internships.  USHLI will begin selling raffle tickets at its 30th National Conference, which will be held February 16-19 in Chicago.  Purchases can be made with a check or credit card.  Raffle ticket sales will end in July, and the winner will be announced at USHLI's Annual Dinner on August 16.   

 

The ticket price is $100.  USHLI hopes to sell 1,000 tickets during the course of the raffle.  Anyone anywhere is eligible to purchase tickets and win, but tickets must be sold in Chicago.  Tickets will not be sold online or over the internet.

 

In announcing the donation and the beginning of raffle ticket sales, USHLI President Dr. Juan Andrade said "We are very grateful to the Buick Division for its generous donation of this beautiful car.  Over the years USHLI has awarded $1.2 million in scholarships and internships to Latino students throughout the nation and proceeds from this raffle will enable USHLI to continue helping students stay in school and complete their college education. 

 

Ticket purchases are not considered charitable contributions, therefore are not tax deductible.
